Oakland Family Services is a private, non-profit human service agency that has been providing quality services to families and the community since 1921. Accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services for over twenty years, the agency exceeds these national standards of excellence. Additionally, the Children’s Learning Center is quality licensed and National Association for the Education for Young Children (NAEYC) accredited for the past eight years. Oakland Family Services provides services in the areas of education, prevention, support and treatment for all members of our community from children through to senior citizens in our early childhood, mental health, substance abuse and older adult programs. These services are provided by physicians, physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, counselors and psychologists licensed in the State of Michigan. Many staff have additional certifications for their specialized fields. With four locations in Oakland County (Berkley, Pontiac, Rochester Hills and Walled Lake), Oakland Family Services accepts most insurances, Medicare and Medicaid as well as offering a sliding fee scale arrangement based on income.
