Oakland Family Services is a private, non-profit
human service agency that has been providing quality services to
individuals and families in the community since 1921. Accredited by the
Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services for over twenty
years, the agency exceeds these national standards of
excellence. Additionally, the Children's Learning Center is quality
licensed and National Association for the Education for Young Children
(NAEYC) accredited. Oakland Family Services provides services in the areas
of prevention, education, and treatment, including foster care and
adoption, early childhood programs, preschool, and therapy for mental
health and substance use disorders. These services are provided by social
workers, masters-level clinicians, and physician's assistants licensed in
the State of Michigan. Many staff members have additional certifications
for their specialized fields. Oakland Family Services accepts most
insurances, Medicare, and Medicaid and offers a sliding fee scale
