ViewFest is the world’s largest mental health and prevention festival, bringing together individuals, families, and organizations for a day focused on wellness, connection, and community. The 2026 event takes place July 12 at the Detroit Zoo, with an expected 5,000 attendees and 200+ sponsor and community partner tables, representing more than 300 organizations.
Founded by Words of Hope 4 Life, ViewFest is built on the Event Based Community Interaction (EBCI) model, an approach that brings mental health and prevention resources directly into welcoming community environments. Instead of traditional presentations, attendees engage with organizations through hands on activities, conversations, and practical tools that support mental wellness.
The event also addresses key social determinants of health, including access to services, education, and community connection, helping individuals and families discover resources in a positive, stigma free setting.
ViewFest is completely free to attend, and registration includes full access to the Detroit Zoo for the day.
