Children's Home of Detroit, a non-profit established in 1836, provides specialized services for children with emotional impairments, educational deficiencies and developmental disabilities. Therapeutic residential programs and services offered at campuses in Wayne and Macomb counties. Other programs-- The National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children trains professionals and educators nationwide who work with children who have experienced traumatic incidents or significant losses; the Foundation For Exceptional Children offers educational and social programs for special needs children and Youth Assistance Services helps adolescents who have committed first time misdemeanor offenses. JCAHO accredited. All races and creeds served.
