The Counseling Clinic is a non-profit training center operated by the Department of Leadership & Counseling. Clinical services are offered by advanced graduate students in the counseling program under the supervision of EMU professional counseling faculty. The Counseling Clinic offers a broad range of counseling services that address most emotional and behavioral issues (depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career choice, academic problems) as well as offering parent education and stress prevention programming. A variety of career and personality screenings are available (MBTI, Strong, CPI, BDI, Anxiety, Occupational Stress, MCMI, etc…) at low cost. The Counseling Clinic offers a free initial consultation for all clients. Ongoing services are free of charge for all students, faculty, and staff at EMU. For all others who continue counseling, a sliding fee scale is applied. This fee can be waived due to financial difficulties. The Counseling Clinic offers services during the entire academic year and throughout the summer.

Community Behavioral Health Clinic

The Eastern Michigan University Psychology Clinic is a non-profit teaching facility operated by the EMU Department of Psychology. Clinical services are provided by graduate students under the supervision of licensed EMU clinical psychology faculty. A broad range of behavioral and emotional issues can be addressed, including problems related to depressed mood, stress/anxiety, anger, substance abuse, eating behavior, relationship conflicts/dissatisfaction, behavioral and emotional complications of or contributors to medical problems, and behavioral and emotional problems of childhood and adolescence. Psychological assessments of learning disabilities and ADHD can be conducted at low cost ($200). Therapy is provided at a fixed fee of $10 per therapy hour.  Fees are not negotiable. The clinic operates year-round. The clinic is not prepared to respond to urgent needs for services, requests for medication management, and/or situations requiring extensive inter-agency case management.
